Our core non-profit initiatives across Cyprus

Our seminar programme is the backbone of the association's public work. Sessions are delivered free of charge in community halls, municipal centres, schools, and technical colleges across Nicosia and Famagusta, and are open to riders, drivers, parents, and pedestrians alike. Each seminar is built around three practical modules: correct selection and fitting of protective equipment; hazard perception and defensive positioning in traffic; and what to do in the first minutes after a collision.

Sessions are co-delivered with invited traffic police officers, driving instructors, paramedics, and experienced long-distance riders from our membership. Demonstrations use real helmets, gloves, boots, and abrasion-resistant clothing so participants can inspect certification labels, wear indicators, and impact damage for themselves rather than relying on advertising claims.

Every attendee receives a printed checklist in Greek and English covering pre-ride inspection, safe following distances, night and wet-weather riding, and the legal requirements applicable in the Republic of Cyprus. Attendance is recorded, and follow-up sessions are scheduled for groups that request advanced content.

The association coordinates seasonal and emergency relief drives for households facing economic hardship. Collection points are hosted by member businesses and community partners, and every drive publishes in advance exactly what is being collected — long-life food, infant formula and nappies, school stationery, blankets, heating fuel vouchers, and hygiene essentials — so that donations match real need rather than surplus.

Beneficiary families are identified in cooperation with local municipal social services, parish committees, and school welfare officers, which allows assistance to reach households discreetly and without duplication. Distribution lists are held confidentially by the Administrative Committee and are never published or shared for any purpose other than delivering aid.

Fundraising activities are strictly non-commercial. Contributions are logged item by item or receipt by receipt, reconciled against the association's records, and reported to the General Assembly. Any surplus from a drive is carried forward to the next assistance cycle.

Each year the association mobilises members, their families, and the wider public for voluntary, unpaid blood donation in collaboration with Cyprus blood banks and medical centres. Mobile collection units are hosted at agreed venues, with our volunteers handling registration support, translation for non-Greek speakers, refreshments, and post-donation observation logistics under the supervision of medical staff.

Campaigns are scheduled deliberately for the summer and holiday periods, when hospital reserves fall and demand from road traffic incidents rises. Alongside each drive we run a short health awareness segment covering donor eligibility, iron and hydration guidance, organ donation registration, and basic bystander first aid.

All clinical procedures, screening, and record-keeping remain the responsibility of the licensed medical service; the association's role is purely mobilisation, hospitality, and public communication.

Newly licensed riders and drivers are statistically the most exposed road users in Cyprus. Our mentorship programme pairs participants aged 17 to 25 with experienced member volunteers for structured, non-competitive sessions covering machine familiarisation, group riding discipline, journey planning, fatigue and alcohol awareness, and honest discussion of the consequences of high-risk behaviour.

The civic strand of the programme trains the same young participants as volunteers: event marshalling, first-aid awareness, respectful public engagement, safeguarding basics, and record-keeping. Young volunteers then contribute to our seminars and relief drives, which reinforces the safety message far more effectively than instruction alone.

Participation is free, requires parental consent for minors, and follows written safeguarding rules: activities take place in public settings, sessions are supervised by at least two adult volunteers, and no volunteer contacts a minor participant privately.
